Highmore has excelled at the AHL level in the last two years, picking up 28 goals and 64 assists in 111 games for Springfield and Belleville. This was Highmore's first goal since Jan. 12, a span of 33 games between tallies. He had just four helpers, 29 shots on goal, 41 hits, 18 blocked shots, six PIM and a minus-7 rating during that stretch, so he doesn't provide enough value in other categories to warrant much consideration in the fantasy realm. The 29-year-old has contributed two goals and six points while averaging 11:10 of ice time over 36 appearances in 2024-25, mainly in a fourth-line role.

Highmore appeared in 36 games for the Blackhawks in 2019-20, generating six points, 38 hits and 35 shots on goal. He failed to average more than 10 minutes of ice time per contest, and it's unlikely the undrafted 24-year-old forward takes a huge leap forward this year. Highmore will compete for a bottom-six job in training camp, but there's little to love here for fantasy managers. Expect his production across the board to be modest.
Highmore got his first taste of NHL action last season, potting two goals in 13 games with the Blackhawks, but he spent most of his time with Chicago's AHL affiliate, racking up 24 goals and 43 points in 64 contests. The undrafted winger will likely once again spend the majority of his campaign in the minors, but if he continues to produce at a high level with AHL Rockford, he could earn the occasional call-up to the big club. Highmore will be hard-pressed to carve out a significant role with the Blackhawks this season, so he can safely be ignored in all fantasy formats.
