2025 Fantasy Outlook
Lohrei appeared in 77 games last season, generating five goals, 33 points, 92 shots on net and 103 blocked shots. Due to injuries to Hampus Lindholm and Charlie McAvoy for most of the year, Lohrei led Boston’s defense corps in points and finished second on the team with 16 power-play points. He accounted for three goals and 17 assists in 34 games from early December to early March, but he registered only one marker and four helpers in 21 appearances to conclude the campaign. The 24-year-old defender should rack up assists and blocks at similar rates in 2025-26, but his lackluster shot and goal totals hold back his fantasy value. Read Past Outlooks
Finds twine in loss
Lohrei scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 7-4 loss to the Kraken.
ANALYSIS
Lohrei has a goal and three helpers over his last six games. The 24-year-old defenseman is getting active on offense despite a third-pairing role, and he should have a path to power-play time while Hampus Lindholm (undisclosed) is on injured reserve. Lohrei is up to three goals, 17 points, 34 shots on net, 51 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating over 38 appearances this season.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Lohrei was in and out of the Boston lineup in his rookie season. He appeared in exactly half of the club's 82 regular-season games, managing four goals and 13 points in his age-22 season. Lohrei, an Ohio State product, took on an enhanced role in the postseason, averaging 17:11 of ice time in 17 appearances. Lohrei is a solid young player and projects to be a regular for the Bruins this coming season, but it's going to be difficult for him to amass any sort of fantasy value unless he is getting top-pair minutes and power-play time, and that seems highly unlikely with both Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm currently ahead of him on the depth chart.
