Puts up assist Wednesday
Glendening recorded an assist and five hits in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Panthers in Game 5.
ANALYSIS
Glendening managed two points, one shot on goal, 13 hits and five blocked shots over five playoff outings. The 36-year-old was limited to just seven points in 77 regular-season games, the third time in six years he's failed to log double-digit points. He's an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and it's unclear if he'll be back with the Lightning or if he'll continue his playing career at all moving forward.

Glendening moved on to Tampa Bay last season after two years in Dallas and filled a similar fourth-line role with his new club. He appeared in 81 of 82 regular-season games, posting 10 goals -- his most since the 2018-19 campaign -- and one assist. Glendening's 17.5 percent shooting percentage was by far a career best, while he added 100-plus hits (121) for the ninth time in the past ten seasons. Now 35 years old, Glendening has one more year left on his contract and will return to help anchor the bottom-six for the Lightning in 2024-25.

Set to test free agency
Glendening is expected to test the open market as an unrestricted free agent, David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reports.
ANALYSIS
After spending the last two campaigns with the Stars, during which he collected 12 goals and 22 points through 152 contests, it appears Glendening will likely be playing elsewhere in 2023-24. Wherever he ends up, look for Glendening to continue to provide minimal offense while primarily operating as a faceoff specialist and a penalty-killer next season.
