2025 Fantasy Outlook
Slaggert didn't show much improvement at the NHL level in 2024-25, posting six points, 34 shots on net, 23 PIM and 25 hits over 33 appearances. He was better with AHL Rockford in his first full professional season, earning 25 points over 39 regular-season games. Slaggert is not a lock for the Blackhawks' Opening Night roster, but it's safe to assume he'll see some NHL time. The 23-year-old has enough physicality to play in a bottom-six role, but he'll need to make significant improvements on offense to be an option in fantasy later this year. Read Past Outlooks

Activated Friday
Slaggert (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Friday.
ANALYSIS
Slaggert is reportedly not expected to play versus the Canucks on Friday, but his activation indicates he is healthy enough to be in the lineup moving forward. He could get a chance to draw into a bottom-six role as soon as Sunday versus the Ducks, assuming the Blackhawks haven't changed their plans for Friday's contest.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
After a four-year career at Notre Dame, Slaggert signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Blackhawks and immediately was thrown into the Chicago lineup. He managed a goal and three assists in 16 games at the NHL level, after picking up 20 goals and 11 assists in 36 games with the Fighting Irish. Slaggert is in a battle for a roster spot heading into training camp and it will be no surprise if the Blackhawks decide to send him to AHL Rockford to play as much as he can, rather than see limited minutes in the NHL. Without a clear role at the NHL level, Slaggert is unlikely to offer much fantasy value this season but should be under consideration in dynasty formats.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Set for debut Friday
Slaggert is expected to make his NHL debut against the Kings on Friday, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Slaggert finished off his senior campaign with Notre Dame having racked up 20 goals and 11 helpers in 36 outings. Selected by the Blackhawks in the third round of the 2020 NHL Draft, the 21-year-old winger will burn the first season of his two-year, entry-level contract. Given his offensive upside in college, Slaggert should be capable of producing for the Hawks.
