2025 Fantasy Outlook
Kolesar had 12 goals and 30 points across 82 regular-season games in 2024-25, which might not stand out, but those are new offensive career highs from him and a massive jump from the 18 points he contributed in each of 2022-23 and 2023-24. It helped that he averaged 13:12 of ice time, which is also a new personal best, though it should be cautioned that his production was sporadic. He had two notable hot streaks from Oct. 13-28 (seven points in eight games) and Dec. 21-Jan. 2 (six points in six outings) with the rest of his offense randomly trickling in throughout the campaign. Regardless, the 28-year-old might be capable of a similar level of offensive production this campaign, but his primarily value will come from his PIM and hits -- he should provide over 50 and 230, respectively, so long as he stays healthy. Puts away goal in overtime win
Kolesar scored a goal and added five hits in Thursday's 6-5 overtime win over the Maple Leafs.
ANALYSIS
Kolesar cut the deficit to 3-2 in the second period with his second goal of the season. Both of those tallies, as well as one assist, have come in eight outings in January. The 28-year-old power winger is at nine points, 39 shots on net, 42 PIM and 151 hits through 46 appearances in a bottom-six role this season. He could have depth appeal in fantasy if his offense improves.

Kolesar notched eight goals and 18 points for the second straight season. He ranked fourth in the league with 277 hits in 2023-24 despite averaging only 10:52 of ice time per game. He finished seventh overall in hits the year before with 279 and placed 10th in 2021-22 with 246. Kolesar's average ice time per contest has decreased for three consecutive campaigns. Still, he will likely maintain his bottom-six role in 2024-25 and will probably be among the hit leaders again.

Role expected to grow
Kolesar is expected to see more time as a penalty-killer while Mark Stone, who's week-to-week with an upper-body injury, is on the shelf, The Athletic's Jesse Granger reports.
ANALYSIS
Kolesar has only averaged 0:08 of ice time as a penalty-killer through 43 games this season, a figure that should grow significantly during Stone's extended absence. Kolesar's picked up five goals and 10 points as a bottom-six option for Vegas this year.
