2025 Fantasy Outlook
Harris was limited to a goal, five points, six PIM, 15 shots, 23 hits and 35 blocks across 33 appearances with Columbus in 2024-25. That was well below the 17 and 14 regular-season points he recorded with the Canadiens in 2022-23 and 2023-24, respectively, which led the Blue Jackets to decide against giving him a qualifying offer. Harris was still able to find an opportunity for the upcoming campaign with Boston. However, there’s no guarantee he’ll make the Opening Night roster, and he might start the season as the Bruins’ seventh defenseman even if he does make the team. Under ideal circumstances, Harris has the potential to get back above 10 points, but a small workload will likely result in him finishing below that milestone in 2025-26. Read Past Outlooks
Moved to long-term IR
Harris (ankle) was shifted to long-term injured reserve Monday.
ANALYSIS
Harris has already been out of action for the Bruins' last 12 contests, so his placement on LTIR doesn't significantly impact his recovery timeline. The 25-year-old blueliner is currently expected to return in late December or early January. Even once given the all-clear, Harris is far from a lock to play on a nightly basis and could find himself serving as a healthy scratch periodically.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Harris was banged up much of last season, appearing in just 56 of 82 regular-season games. He managed just three goals, 14 points and 43 shots on goal in his limited playing time. Harris had some decent offensive seasons during his four years at Northeastern, but the scoring numbers simply haven't carried over to the NHL. Following his trade to Columbus as part of the Patrik Laine deal, Harris should be in line for a top-four pairing and perhaps could get a look with the No. 2 power-play unit -- though he'll have to earn that role during training camp.

Bound for Beantown
Harris is expected to sign with the Bruins, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Harris spent last season with the Blue Jackets, registering one goal, four assists and 23 hits in 33 regular-season games while averaging 11:23 of ice time. Columbus seemed unimpressed with the 24-year-old blueliner, deciding against giving him a qualifying offer. While details haven't been announced yet, it wouldn't be a shock if Harris' deal with Boston is a two-way contract.
