Jiri Kulich

20-Year-Old CenterC
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Taken with the No. 28 overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, Kulich got his first taste of NHL action when he registered a shot and a hit over 14:53 of ice time Nov. 25, but where he really turned some heads last season was in the AHL. He provided 45 points, including a team-high 27 goals, in 57 outings with Rochester. The 20-year-old is entering training camp with a shot of making the Sabres' Opening Night roster, and even if he falls short of that position, it wouldn't be surprising to see Kulich end up with the Sabres at some point during 2024-25 as an injury replacement. Skating with main group
CBuffalo Sabres
September 18, 2024
Kulich took the ice with the Sabres' prospective European squad Wednesday, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.
ANALYSIS
Kulich is far from a lock to make the Opening Night roster, but the fact that the team wants him with the main group is certainly a positive sign. While he has just one game of NHL experience, the 20-year-old center put up fantastic numbers in the minors last year with 27 goals and 18 assists in 57 outings. Even if Kulich does make the team out of camp, he will probably still find himself moving between the NHL and AHL all season long.
