2025 Fantasy Outlook
Luchanko started the 2024-25 season in the NHL after the Flyers selected him with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2024 draft class. He went pointless with a minus-3 rating in four games. He returned to OHL Guelph, where he put up 56 points in 46 regular-season outings, before spending the rest of the season with AHL Lehigh Valley. Luchanko remains a candidate to make the Flyers in 2025-26, but the 18-year-old forward could spend more time in the minors first, which limits his fantasy appeal for the time being. Earns four points in Storm win
Luchanko scored a goal and added three assists in OHL Guelph's 8-5 win over Windsor on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Luchanko has racked up two goals and eight assists over six games since the Flyers reassigned him to the Storm in late October. This was his best game of the season so far, but he should be a fairly regular presence on the scoresheet. Luchanko's continued strong play in the junior ranks will have him knocking on the door for an NHL job in 2026-27.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Selected with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, Luchanko combines blazing speed with superb playmaking abilities. He's solid without the puck too, which gives him the potential to develop into a great two-way center. What should be expected from him in 2024-25, though? Initially, it seemed like it would be a campaign focused on him developing in the OHL, but Luchanko may have forced the Flyers to hasten his timetable after a strong training camp. He's still not guaranteed to stick with Philadelphia for the full campaign -- until he plays in his 10th NHL contest of the season, this won't count as the first year of his entry-level contract -- so the Flyers might return him to the junior level before he hits that mark if he isn't quite ready. However, his upside is high enough to make him worth keeping a close eye on, and potentially even grabbing now in deeper keeper leagues.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Likely headed back to juniors
Luchanko isn't practicing and could be reassigned to OHL Guelph for the rest of the season, Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports reports Monday.
ANALYSIS
Luchanko has been a healthy scratch for the Flyers' last two games, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see the team sending him back to the juniors. In his four appearances this year, the 19-year-old has failed to register a point while chipping in just one shot. Given his struggles at the NHL level, some additional seasoning in juniors should help Luchanko's long-term development.
