2025 Fantasy Outlook
As long as both Erik Karlsson and Kris Letang remain on the Penguins' roster, a rightshot blueliner like St. Ivany is going to be hard-pressed to secure much in the way of NHL minutes. Add in the fact that the team traded for veterans Connor Clifton and Matt Dumba this offseason and St. Ivany's path to the NHL should be considered murky at best. Even if St. Ivany were to make the Opening Night roster, he doesn't offer enough offense -- having generated just two points in 33 career NHL appearances -- to make him worth much in fantasy. Goes on conditioning assignment
St. Ivany (lower body) was reassigned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for a conditioning loan Monday.
ANALYSIS
St. Ivany has slowly been working his way back from his lower-body issue, most recently practicing in a regular jersey at practice Friday. In his 19 appearances last year, the 26-year-old blueliner registered one assist, 38 hits and 12 shots while averaging 16:22 of ice time. The Baby Pens suit up versus AHL Hershey on Wednesday, which means St. Ivany is unlikely to play for Pittsburgh before Friday's trip to Columbus.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
There was a crowded field at the Penguins' training camp for spots on the third pairing but it seems St. Ivany edged out the likes of John Ludvig, who is now in Colorado after being claimed off waivers, and Harrison Brunicke, who was reassigned to juniors. For his part, St. Ivany was crucial to the team's failed postseason push last year, playing in the final 14 games in which he generated one assist, 11 shots and two PIM while dishing out 30 hits. He won't impress offensively, but St. Ivany should have some value in formats that need hits and blocks.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Making NHL debut
St. Ivany will make his NHL debut against the Stars on Friday, Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Ivany was a fourth-round draft pick by the rival Flyers but never signed with the organization, hitting free agency and signing with Pittsburgh back in August of 2022. With the Baby Pens this season, the 24-year-old blueliner has notched four goals and 11 assists in 53 games. With the Penguins unlikely to make the postseason, St. Ivany could be given an extended look in the NHL down the stretch.
