Jack Quinn

Jack Quinn

24-Year-Old CenterC
Buffalo Sabres
2025 Fantasy Outlook
While Quinn narrowly set career highs in 2024-25 with 15 goals and 39 points across 74 outings, the 23-year-old (24 on Sept. 19) still hasn’t lived up to the promise he showed in 2019-20 when he scored 52 goals in 62 regular-season OHL outings, which led to Buffalo selecting him with the No. 8 overall pick in 2020. Quinn similarly showed offensive flair with AHL Rochester in 2021-22 when he supplied 26 goals and 61 points across 45 regular-season appearances. If you’re looking for a reason to hope that he’s ready to make the next step, consider that Quinn was significantly better in the second half of 2024-25 (32 points in his final 47 outings), which might be him giving us a taste of the future. Pencil him in for 40-50 points, but keep in mind that the potential is there for him to exceed that range. Read Past Outlooks

Two-point effort in OT loss

Quinn produced a goal and an assist in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Wild.
ANALYSIS
Skating on a line with Ryan McLeod and Jason Zucker, Quinn potted his 11th goal of the season, with four of them coming in the last five games. The eighth overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft hasn't had a prolonged stretch of success this season, but he's on pace for a career-best campaign with 27 points in 47 contests.

2022
Quinn's 2023-24 season was interrupted by a pair of injuries. He appeared in just 27 games, but was decently productive when healthy, managing nine goals and 19 points. Quinn finished the season on a high note, posting seven points in his final seven appearances. Likely locked into a second-line role for the club, in addition to receiving some power-play time, Quinn is a sneaky late-round fantasy pick in deeper leagues this coming season. This is a player who had 37 points in 75 games as a 21-year-old rookie just two years ago and is still capable of producing at that level.
Quinn notched 14 goals and 37 points in 75 contests during his 2022-23 rookie campaign. The bulk of his production came over two scoring spurts, including a 17-point stretch from Oct. 27-Dec. 13 and another 17-point performance from Feb. 15-Apr. 10. Quinn spent most of the year alongside Dylan Cozens, who enjoyed a breakout 68-point effort. For Quinn to follow in the footsteps of Cozens in 2023-24, he will need to be much more consistent. Quinn displayed plenty of upside last campaign and could operate at a 50-point pace in his sophomore season. Unfortunately, he is slated to miss at least a month to begin the season following offseason Achilles surgery.
The No. 8 overall pick in the 2020 draft, Quinn was named AHL Rookie of the Year a season ago despite playing the entire campaign at age 20. He posted 26 goals and 61 points in 45 games for AHL Rochester, while also picking up a goal and an assist in a brief two-game stint with the Sabres. Quinn lacks ideal speed for the NHL level, but his offensive awareness is exceptional and his shot is high end. There's easy top-six potential here, perhaps as soon as this coming season. Quinn is an excellent keeper/dynasty prospect.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Candidate for larger role?
CBuffalo Sabres
September 16, 2025
Quinn could be an option to fill a top-six role this season, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Quinn could help fill the void created by the Sabres' trade of JJ Peterka to the Mammoth. It won't be a guaranteed spot for Quinn, who was scratched at times in 2024-25, though he still finished with a career-high 39 points in 74 appearances despite averaging just 14:52 of ice time per game. The 23-year-old was also a big part of the power play last year, earning 13 of his points in that situation, so his offense could take another step if he secures a top-six role.
