2025 Fantasy Outlook
Barbashev typically provides a decent blend of skill and grit, but the latter dipped last season. He had 23 goals, 51 points, 10 PIM and 104 hits across 70 regular-season outings with Vegas, which represented a mild increase in points (45) but a decrease in PIM (42) and hits (179) compared to 2023-24. He did miss 10 games between mid-December and early January due to an upper-body injury -- a change for him after being absent from just one total game between 2021-22 and 2023-24 -- and dropped to just 12 hits over his final 19 regular-season appearances, so it’s possible that the wear and tear of the campaign caused him to hold back, though that certainly changed when the stakes increased during the playoffs, dishing out 43 hits across 11 outings. Regardless, history suggests he’ll rebound, so don’t be surprised if Barbashev gets over 40 points and 150 hits this season. Read Past Outlooks
Two helpers in win over Leafs
Barbashev notched two assists in Friday's 6-3 win over Toronto.
ANALYSIS
The veteran winger took advantage of his assignment alongside the red-hot Jack Eichel and Mark Stone, helping to set up Eichel for a goal early in the first period before assisting Stone for a tally late in the third. It was Barbashev's first multi-point performance in January. He has gone 14 straight games without finding the back of the net himself, but he does have five assists in the last nine contests.

Barbashev provided Vegas with a nice blend of skill and grit in his first full season with the club, finishing the campaign with 19 goals, 45 points, 42 PIM and 180 hits in 82 regular-season contests. In terms of offensive production, that matches his 45-point showing between the Blues and the Golden Knights in 2022-23. He did manage to supply 26 goals and 60 points across 81 appearances in 2021-22, but his shooting percentage was an alarmingly high 23.4, so it's not surprising that he hasn't replicated that level of production before or since. Barbashev should finish with between 40-50 points while exceeding the 150-hit mark for the fourth straight campaign, though the 28-year-old is unlikely to do much better than that.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Might be available for Saturday
Barbashev, who has missed 10 straight games due to an upper-body injury, is likely to return for Saturday's tilt against the Rangers, SinBin.vegas reports Friday.
ANALYSIS
Barbashev skated alongside Jack Eichel and Mark Stone during Vegas' practice. Before getting hurt, Barbashev was on track to surpass his career high of 60 points after collecting 15 goals and 30 points through 31 outings. His shooting percentage of 29.4 has been uncomfortably high, though, and his limited usage on the power play -- he's averaging 0:56 with the man advantage this season -- also presents itself as a potential factor working against him maintaining that scoring pace. Regardless, we'll see how Barbashev responds after he returns from injury.
