2025 Fantasy Outlook
Solovyov appeared in five games with the Flames in 2024-25 after being promoted from AHL Calgary in February, but he finished out the year in the minors after being demoted in March. The Belarus native had a decent overall showing with the Wranglers, accounting for six goals, 28 points and a plus-8 rating over 59 regular-season outings. The left-shot blueliner was a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, so it’d be impressive if he can carve out a career in the world’s best hockey league, but he’s unlikely to ever be a major player in fantasy. Little chance to play in November
Solovyov was scratched for the 10th straight game in Wednesday's 6-0 win over the Sharks.
ANALYSIS
Solovyov isn't getting much of a chance to play now that the Avalanche have their preferred six blueliners all healthy. The team may be hesitant to waive him, as he was claimed off waivers from the Flames prior to the start of the season. In nine appearances, Solovyov has nine shots on net, 11 hits, 15 blocked shots, four PIM and a minus-4 rating, so he's unlikely to produce much offense even if he gets a run of time in the lineup.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could get call-up
Solovyov may be called up from AHL Calgary after Nikita Zadorov was traded to the Canucks on Thursday, Eric Francis of Sportsnet reports.
ANALYSIS
Solovyov logged his first two NHL contests earlier in the season, going minus-3 with two hits, two PIM and one blocked shot over the pair of scoreless outings. With Zadorov no longer in the picture, Solovyov may receive a longer look in a third-pairing role with the Flames, though his chances remain slim to get significant ice time on a still-strong blue line.
