Givani Smith

Smith is a fiery junior-league competitor who's found a second home in the penalty box having been named the OHL's most penalized player in back-to-back seasons from 2015-17. Still, he's far from a slouch in the attacking zone based on his output of 73 goals and 62 assists through 236 games split between the Barrie Colts, Guelph Storm and Kitchener Rangers. Given Smith's lofty draft profile -- he was Detroit's second-round (46th overall) draft pick in 2016 -- the 20-year-old should be modestly owned in keeper/dynasty formats, but it's unlikely that he'll bypass the AHL in 2018-19 and that would render him a rather futile option in most redraft leagues.
