2025 Fantasy Outlook
Lysell compiled one goal, two assists and 21 shots on net across 12 regular-season outings with Boston in 2024-25. He averaged only 13:27 of ice time per game during his first taste of NHL action. The 22-year-old forward produced 11 goals and 34 points over 52 regular-season appearances for AHL Providence last campaign. Lysell could receive additional time in the minors in 2025-26, but he will probably be among the first call-ups to occupy a middle-six role with the big club should injuries arise. Lysell, Alex Steeves and Matthew Poitras were dominant in the P-Bruins' second win of the year. The 22-year-old Lysell made 12 appearances with Boston last year, earning three points and 21 shots on net, and he added 34 points over 52 regular-season outings in the AHL. 2024 Fantasy Outlook
Taken with the No. 21 overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, Lysell has watched 16 of the 20 players selected ahead of him make their NHL debut while he's remained in the minors. That could change this season. Lysell did plenty to help his case in 2023-24, registering 15 goals, 50 points and 37 PIM across 56 regular-season contests with AHL Providence. The 21-year-old will enter training camp with a shot of making Boston as a middle-six forward. While he faces an uphill battle for that job, the Swedish native might be among the first players called up if Boston runs into injury troubles.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Skipping prospect tournament
Lysell will not participate in the Bruins' rookie tournament, instead focusing on making the 23-man roster during training camp, Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic reports Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Lysell has yet to make his NHL debut this season, but all signs point to him making the Opening Night roster, which would see him debut versus Florida on Oct. 8. If Lysell does make the team, he could challenge Morgan Geekie for a spot on the second line -- though he is more likely to start the year on the third trio. The Swede is coming off an impressive year with AHL Providence in which he notched 15 goals and 35 assists in 56 regular-season contests.
