2023 Fantasy Outlook
Tarasov got into 17 games for the Blue Jackets a season ago and as you would have imagined while playing behind one of the worst teams in the NHL, it didn't go well. He managed a 4-11-1 record along with a horrific 3.91 GAA and .892 save percentage. Tarasov was no better (5-5-0, 3.85 GAA, .882 save percentage) in 11 AHL appearances. Still just 24 years of age, Tarasov is slated to open the 2023-24 campaign as the backup to Elvis Merzlikins, but Columbus would be in real trouble if forced to lean on Tarasov for any significant length of time.
