Collin Delia

Delia saw just eight games with the Blackhawks a season ago despite the fact the team was light years from playoff contention. He instead spent most of the year with AHL Rockford, posting a 11-9-3 record, 3.04 GAA and .905 save percentage. The 28-year-old California native inked a one-year, $750,000 contract with Vancouver in free agency, although Spencer Martin should be considered the favorite to backup Thatcher Demko, leaving Delia likely ticketed for AHL duty once again.

Delia spent the entirety of the 2019-20 campaign with AHL Rockford, and he was decent, compiling a 16-13-1 record while posting a 2.66 GAA and .912 save percentage. With Corey Crawford no longer in the picture, Delia is poised to have a full-time NHL gig for the first time in his career in 2020-21, but he'll have to beat out Malcolm Subban for the Blackhawks' starting gig. Subban is considered the favorite to enter the season as Chicago's No. 1 option in goal, primarily because he has far more NHL experience than Delia, but neither netminder projects to perform well from a real-life or fantasy perspective in their first year as a full-time starter behind what will likely be one of the league's most porous defenses. This is a situation most fantasy managers would be wise to avoid on draft day.

Delia got his first taste of NHL action with the Blackhawks in 2017-18, registering a 1-1-0 record while posting an ugly 3.96 GAA and .889 save percentage in two appearances. The 24-year-old netminder has Anton Forsberg and Cam Ward ahead of him on Chicago's organizational depth chart, and he will almost certainly spend the entirety of the 2018-19 campaign with AHL Rockford. There's no reason for fantasy owners to hone in on Delia at this juncture.
