Halonen displayed some progress with 27 goals and 40 points in 62 games with AHL Utica last season. That helped him earn a pair of appearances with the Devils in January, but that was the extent of his NHL time in 2024-25. The 26-year-old winger is unlikely to make the Opening Night roster this year, and he'll need to continue to display a goal-scoring touch for Utica to secure additional call-ups.
