Evan Berofsky's pickups this week include Jeff Skinner, whose work with Leon Draisaitl as his center the last two matchups resulted in a goal, two assists and four shots.

After the 4 Nations Face-Off Artturi Lehkonen will return to the top line with the Avalanche and should heat up over the last third of the season.

Post-4 Nations Face-Off pickups include Kent Johnson who has registered seven goals, eight assists and 30 shots in his last 17 contests, and, due to injuries, is skating on the top power-play unit.

Evan Berofsky recommends players with multiple games before the 4 Nations Face-Off starts, including Utah forward Nick Schmaltz, who should post sufficient stats as a lead player in all attacking situations.

Byram was his usual efficient, excellent self when healthy last season, but a lower-body injury cost him nearly three months' worth of action and he appeared in just 42 of 82 games for Colorado. He scored 10 goals and added 14 helpers in that time, so Byram was most definitely a fantasy asset when he was able to suit up. Byram got paid this offseason, signing a new two-year, $7.7 million extension. Set to play this entire year at age 22, the No. 4 overall pick from 2019 obviously needs to be rostered in all formats, but it will probably take a significant injury to either Cale Makar or Devon Toews for Byram to reach his ceiling from a fantasy standpoint.
