2025 Fantasy Outlook
Sandin Pellikka looks set to be ready for North American hockey in 2025-26, but it would be a long shot to expect him to jump straight into the Red Wings' lineup. He put up 29 points in 46 regular-season games with Skelleftea AIK of the SHL and added 10 points in seven contests for Sweden at the World Junior Championship. He's still just 20 years old, and as impressive as his numbers are, he'll still need some more development time, whether that's in the AHL with Grand Rapids or in his native Sweden on loan again. Fires home winner Thursday
Sandin-Pellikka scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Thursday's 5-1 victory over Vancouver.
ANALYSIS
The 20-year-old rookie gave Detroit a 2-0 lead early in the second period by going top shelf on Kevin Lankinen, before helping to set up a J.T. Compher tally later in the frame. It was Sandin-Pellikka's first career game-winning goal, and his first two-point effort since Dec. 8. Through his first 45 NHL games, the 17th overall pick in 2023 has five goals and 17 points with 46 shots on net, 43 blocked shots and a minus-16 rating.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Unlikely to make Opening Night team
Sandin Pellikka is not expected to be on the Red Wings' Opening Night roster, Max Bultman of The Athletic reports Friday.
ANALYSIS
Sandin Pellikka is an offensively gifted blueliner, but he still needs to work on his play in his own zone. The 20-year-old is expected to play with AHL Grand Rapids this year after playing on loan with Skelleftea AIK of the SHL in 2024-25, where he had 29 points in 46 games in his age-19 campaign. If he starts well at Grand Rapids, he should be able to push some of the third-pairing veterans like Erik Gustafsson, Justin Holl or Travis Hamonic for a roster spot later in 2025-26.
