Lands with Ottawa
Kaliyev (upper body) signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Senators on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Kaliyev topped 50 regular-season appearances in each of his final three years with the Kings, but he was limited to just 14 games with the NHL club last year while hampered by injuries. It's not yet clear whether he'll be ready for training camp this year, but he'll attempt to carve out a role with the Senators in 2025-26.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
2022
For the first time in his three-year career, Kaliyev failed to reach the 20-point threshold. He saw action in just 51 regular-season games last year - though that didn't stop him from reaching that mark back in 2022-23 when he played in 56 contests. Prior to a collarbone injury, there was a decent chance the hard-shooting winger would see minutes with the No. 2 power-play unit, despite filling a fourth-line role. Instead, he will face an uphill battle to earn that job after being ruled out indefinitely to start the season.
