Alexander Alexeyev

Alexeyev was pressed into duty for the Capitals last year, picking up five assists, 48 blocked shots and 33 hits in 32 games after filling in as an injury replacement. He played regularly down the stretch and should have a chance to take on a full-time role in 2023-24, though he's likely little more than a third-pairing option. Alexeyev will be 24 years old for the bulk of the campaign, and despite his first-round pedigree, he's yet to show enough on offense to really intrigue fantasy managers. He can likely be left on the board on draft day, though it may be worth watching how he adapts to the grind of a full season.
