2025 Fantasy Outlook
After starting 2024-25 on a torrid pace with 13 goals in his first 26 games, Gaudette came back down to earth and found the back of the net just six times over his final 55 outings. Overall, the right-shot forward had seven helpers, 26 points, 90 shots on goal and a plus-12 rating across a career-high 81 regular-season appearances with Ottawa. While Gaudette has a cannon of a shot, he probably hit his ceiling in the goal column given that his previous high-water mark was 12 in 2019-20 with Vancouver. The Massachusetts native could earn more ice time with the Sharks in comparison to what he managed with the Senators, but his 21.1 shooting percentage from last season is unsustainable going forward. Gaudette scored a power-play goal on two shots and added four hits in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Gaudette bounced right back after a three-game absence due to a lower-body injury. Between that injury and a healthy scratch, Gaudette has missed four of the Sharks' last eight contests, but he's gotten on the scoresheet in his four appearances in that span. The 29-year-old forward is up to nine goals, 15 points (five on the power play), 51 shots on net, 36 hits, 14 PIM and a minus-8 rating through 34 outings this season.

Gaudette's 2019-20 mini-breakout (12 goals, 33 points, 12 power-play points in 59 games) seems like a thing of the past on the heels of a 2020-21 season which saw him post career-low numbers (five goals, 11 points in 40 games) in addition to a late-season trade from Vancouver to Chicago. The Blackhawks will welcome back Jonathan Toews and Kirby Dach on a full-time basis this coming year, in addition to acquiring Tyler Johnson in a deal with Tampa Bay, further pushing Gaudette down the depth chart. There isn't much to like here from a fantasy perspective.
