2025 Fantasy Outlook
Greaves' NHL action was limited in 2024-25, but he appears to have done just enough at the right time of the season to make a lasting impression since the Jackets shipped Daniil Tarasov to Florida. For his part, Greaves went 7-2-2 with a 1.91 GAA and a .938 save percentage over 11 games, including winning five straight to close out the regular season with both of his shutouts for the year. He also went 21-11-6 with a 2.62 GAA and a .920 save percentage in 40 games with AHL Cleveland. Elvis Merzlikins is far from a lock to remain in the starter role for long. Keep an eye on Columbus' crease in training camp -- Greaves has the potential to be a valuable sleeper pick. Read Past Outlooks

Will return to AHL
Greaves will be reassigned to AHL Cleveland following Thursday's 6-1 win over the Islanders, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.
ANALYSIS
Graves made a great case for himself late in the season, winning the Blue Jackets' last five games of the year. He allowed just four goals on 160 shots in that span, good for a .975 save percentage. He'll head down to Cleveland for the remainder of the Monsters' regular season and playoff run, but the 24-year-old has put himself in position for a spot on Columbus' 2025-26 roster, and potentially even the team's No. 1 job in net.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Opportunity to start in Columbus
Greaves is in line to contend for the No. 1 spot between the pipes in Columbus after Daniil Tarasov's trade to Florida on Thursday, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.
ANALYSIS
Greaves was outstanding in limited action with the Blue Jackets last season, going 7-2-2 with a pair of shutouts, a 1.91 GAA and a .938 save percentage across 11 appearances. He will battle Elvis Merzlikins for the top job. Merzlikins has had a multitude of chances as the Blue Jackets' No. 1 netminder and it could be time to give Greaves the starting gig and see if he can run with it in 2025-26.
