Jones was recalled from AHL Iowa on Tuesday.

Jones' promotion to the NHL roster doesn't guarantee he will be in the lineup versus Dallas on Tuesday. If he does make it into the lineup, it figures to be in a fourth-line role at the expense of Danila Yurov or Liam Ohgren. In 26 regular-season outings with Minnesota last year, Jones failed to register a point while producing 24 shots, 51 hits and 10 PIM.
