Alex Lyon News: Receiving starting nod

Lyon will guard the home goal versus the Senators on Wednesday, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.

Lyon has opened the season 0-3-0, but he has allowed just eight goals on 99 shots over his three starts. He continues to occupy the starting role while the Sabres wait for Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (lower body) to recover. Lyon should still see a decent share of starts, assuming his performance doesn't dip, once Luukkonen return.
