2025 Fantasy Outlook
It seems almost impossible that Fleetwood has still not yet won a PGA Tour event. He's won seven times on the DP World Tour and been in the mix at a number of majors, but has never yet been able to get over the hump on the PGA Tour. It was perhaps fitting that Fleetwood would win the silver medal at the Paris Olympics. The stats were pretty solid across the board in 2024 for Fleetwood gaining strokes in every category and ranking 37th in SG: Total, but that was down from the previous season when he was 14th in SG: Total. Fleetwood is a very consistent player who is always going to be a pretty safe bet in salary cap leagues, but he does lack the upside of some other equally talented players because he just hasn't won. Maybe that changes in 2025. Read Past Outlooks
Nearly goes back-to-back
Fleetwood was defeated on the first playoff hole by Aaron Rai at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship following a six-under 66 in the final round.
ANALYSIS
Fleetwood was looking to win his second straight event on the DP World Tour after prevailing a couple weeks ago in India. He gave himself a great chance by making just one bogey in 72 holes this week. Fleetwood was unable to birdie the par-5 finishing hole on Sunday that would have gave him 26-under-par and the win in regulation. Fleetwood instead would have to battle fellow countryman Aaron Rai in a playoff. Fleetwood's birdie putt would slide by, while Rai pounded his from a little closer in the back of the hole. A ninth DP World Tour win for Fleetwood will have to wait, but he now has nine top-5 finishes in 2025. He will be looking for his first win at the DP World Tour Championship next week. Fleetwood has been top-5 in Dubai two of the last three years.

It took a 60-footer for eagle by Nick Taylor to deny Fleetwood his first PGA Tour win yet again at the RBC Canadian Open. While it was another disappointing season in that regard, Fleetwood's consistency was certainly there, especially in the back end of the season when he secured 10 top-25s in a 12-event stretch. The 32-year-old finished the season ranked inside the top-35 in every strokes gained category. Fleetwood was also seventh in scoring average. You can only knock on the door for so long before it has to come crashing down. The numbers are on Fleetwood's side for a breakthrough win, maybe even two, in 2024.
