Kanaya is a seven-time winner on the Japan Tour and a former top-ranked amateur in the world. He will be a PGA Tour rookie in 2025 that has already appeared in 11 majors and previously cracked the top-50 of the OWGR. Kanaya got his shot at PGA Tour Q-School and made the most of it by finishing third and earning a card at age 26. Nonetheless, he ranked third in scrambling and T4 in driving accuracy for the week. Although he's now made the cut in four consecutive starts, Kanaya sits just 120th in the FedExCup Fall standings ahead of his Butterfield Bermuda Championship debut.
