2025 Fantasy Outlook
Hoey's 2024 campaign was a tale of two seasons. The Tour rookie missed his first four cuts and had just one top-25 through 15 events, but he flipped the switch thereafter with four top-10s, including a playoff loss in an alterate event. His ball-striking numbers indicate that he's likely not just a flash in the pan considering he ranked ninth in SG: Off-the-tee, 83rd in approach and 19th in GIR. If he can get off to a better start in 2025 and improve his short game, Hoey is a good candidate to make the playoffs next year. Read Past Outlooks
Seventh in SG: OTT at 3M Open
Hoey fired a three-under 68 on Sunday at the 3M Open to finish nine-under and tied for 57th.
ANALYSIS
Hoey ultimately ranked T10 among the field in GIR percentage and seventh in SG: Off-the-Tee at TPC Twin Cities, but the putter remains a major issue as he lost over six strokes putting in Minnesota. The T57 result caused him to drop outside of the top 100 in the FedExCup standings, but Hoey will be in attendance again this week at Sedgefield Country Club where he placed T22 during his Wyndham Championship debut just last year.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Hoey's maiden Korn Ferry Tour victory arrived not long after he began the 2023 season with top-10 results in half of his first 10 outings, eventually winning the Visit Knoxville Open in late May. The former University of Southern California standout becomes a PGA Tour rookie at 28 years old, and his patience could pay off in a big way if the driver continues to cooperate. He paced the entire KFT in total driving and ranked fourth in par-5 scoring throughout the 2023 campaign, but the putter remains a concern.
