Thorbjornsen is fully exempt for the 2025 season after topping the 2024 PGA Tour University Rankings. Following a standout senior season at Stanford, Thorbjornsen would take his talents the the PGA Tour and make 11 starts to close the year. While there was some expected inconsistency, Thorbjornsen showed he has the talent to compete at the highest level racking up a T2 at the John Deere Classic before finishing 2024 with a pair of T8 finishes in his last three starts. While he didn't have enough starts to be eligible, he would have ranked top-five on Tour last season in driving distance and in the top-10 in GIR percentage. Thorbjornsen has also proved to be a strong putter gaining strokes on the greens in his last five starts in 2024. Misses cut at TPC Twin Cities
Thorbjornsen recorded a 36-hole score of three-over-par to miss the cut at last week's 3M Open by eight shots.

Thorbjornsen played his opening nine holes of the tournament in seven-over 43 on Thursday, making it nearly impossible to claw back toward the five-under cut line. He ultimately lost 6.5 strokes ball striking throughout his two rounds at TPC Twin Cities, missing his first cut since early April's Valero Texas Open. Nonetheless, he's 87th in the FedExCup standings ahead of the upcoming Wyndham Championship.
