2025 Fantasy Outlook
Smalley made the FedExCup playoffs in the 2022-23 season with four top-10s and 11 top-25 finishes. He fell short of those marks in 2024 and also missed more cuts. Smalley ranked top-50 in both SG: Off-the-Tee and SG: Approach in 2022-23, but saw his iron play really dip in 2024. That led to more inconsistent results. Smalley needs his approach numbers to take a step forward in 2025 if he is going to post some quality finishes because he has now been outside the top-160 in SG: Putting the last two seasons. There's certainly some upside with Smalley, but he needs to get off to a much better start than he did in 2024 when he missed the cut in nine of his first 11 starts. Read Past Outlooks
T44 at 3M Open
Smalley closed with a one-under 70 on Sunday at the 3M Open to finish 11-under and tied for 44th.
ANALYSIS
Smalley hit only 49 of 72 greens in regulation throughout his week at TPC Twin Cities, but that didn't keep him from racking up 20 total birdies and an eagle across four rounds in Minnesota. He remains outside of the top 70 in the FedExCup standings, but Smalley will be in attendance again this week for the Wyndham Championship where he placed MC-MC-T13-T29 the past four years.

2022
The elevated events have really skewed the earnings numbers from this past year. Smalley played only slightly better this past season as opposed to the previous season, yet his earnings number went from $1.6 million to $3.1 million. Smalley is still early in his career and he appears to be on a familiar arc, one that sees a young player make hay against lesser fields and hopefully graduate to playing better against the best players. Smalley could make that jump this year, but it will probably be a slower progression if it happens.
