Tyler Smith did just that as a rookie for most of his first pro season in 2022, but he shifted inside and was a second-team All-Pro at left guard in 2023. The departure of starting center Tyler Biadasz might also encourage Dallas to keep Smith at guard, rather than trying to find two new starters on the interior offensive line. The team holds the 24th overall selection in the 2024 Draft, and there figure to be a number of intriguing tackle prospects still on the board at that point. Selecting one of them would go a long way toward clarifying Smith's role for 2024.
