The new anchor of the Dallas offensive line following Zack Martin's retirement, Smith has developed into one of the best guards in the league. The 24th overall pick in the 2022 Draft has missed only four games in his first three NFL seasons, and his importance to Dak Prescott's protection scheme only increases while left tackle Tyler Guyton endures some growing pains. 2024
2023
Taken 24th overall in the 2022 Draft, Smith has settled in at left guard for the Cowboys after bouncing between guard and tackle as a rookie. Smith will team with 2024 first-round pick Tyler Guyton to form a very young, but impressively talented, left side of the Dallas offensive line.
The 24th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Smith was expected to begin his career at left guard, but the Tulsa product would up seeing plenty of action at left tackle as Tyron Smith once again battled injuries. The duo will once again protect Dak Prescott's left side, with the younger Smith handling the guard spot as long as Tyron stays healthy.

Next in line for extension
OGDallas Cowboys
September 1, 2025
Smith is likely to be the next Cowboy to get a contract extension, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
After failing to reach a deal with Micah Parsons and trading him to Green Bay, Dallas quickly turned around and inked cornerback DaRon Bland to a four-year extension this week, and Smith could be the next young player locked up. The 2022 first-round pick has developed into one of the best interior offensive linemen in the league, earning Pro Bowl honors at left guard in each of the last two seasons.
