2024 Fantasy Outlook
Bass may not be the most popular guy in Western New York after three missed field goals in two playoff games last season, but he's generally performed well since the Bills drafted him in the sixth round in 2020, converting 84.9 percent of field-goal attempts and 97.6 percent of PATs. The numbers look better when you consider he has one of the toughest home stadiums for kicking and plays in a division without any domes. Bass is now entering the first season of a four-year, $20.4 million extension, but his fantasy prospects are less exciting after 15 kickers outscored him last year and the Bills lost their top two WRs in the offseason. Makes huge game-winning kick
Bass made all three of his field-goal tries and converted one of his two extra-point attempts during Sunday's 30-27 win versus the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Bass's missed extra point in the third quarter would have been high on the list of reasons the Bills couldn't come out on top Sunday, but instead, he later nailed a 61-yard field goal -- a new Bills franchise record -- with five seconds remaining in the game to deliver the win for Buffalo. He'll still be looking to sharpen his accuracy on point-after attempts (he's a disappointing 27-for-30 this season) heading into a Week 10 matchup at Indianapolis.

Playing in Buffalo isn't ideal for a kicker, or at least it wasn't until the Bills offense became one of the best in the league. Bass doesn't have the long-distance volume of other kickers -- only 8 of 13 from 50-plus yards through three seasons -- but he's never finished lower than fourth in PAT conversions and has also converted either 27 or 28 field goals each year since entering the league. The 26-year-old signed an extension this offseason, keeping him attached to Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs and Co. for the foreseeable future.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Job safe for now
Bass still has the confidence of the Bills, and the team isn't currently looking to replace him, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The kicker missed a 44-yard kick in the divisional round last season that would have tied the game against Kansas City, ending the Bills' season, and Bass has had an erratic training camp and preseason as well. Buffalo still trusts that he will figure things out, however. "Not at this point," general manager Brandon Beane said last week when asked if the Bills intended to stash a kick on their practice squad as insurance, or competition, for Bass. "I get the question, I do. I understand. If he had a short history here, probably would have." The 27-year-old has been with Buffalo since 2020, and cutting him would incur dead-cap penalties in both 2024 and 2025.
