Kpassagnon (Achilles) was placed on the reserve/PUP list by the Saints on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Kpassagnon is still recovering from the torn Achilles he suffered in the offseason and he'll now be forced to miss the first four games of the 2024 season. The defensive lineman is eligible to return from the PUP list ahead of the Saints' matchup on the road with the Chiefs in Week 5 on Oct. 7.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
2021
Kpassagnon has been an efficient rotational player since signing with the Saints ahead of the 2021 campaign. The 29-year-old saw significantly more playing time during the back half of his four-year tenure with the Chiefs, but he was almost just as productive (28 tackles) despite playing less than half as many defensive snaps (342) in 2022. He'll serve a similar role in 2023.
In his second season with the Saints, Kpassagnon will likely serve in a rotational role as the No. 2 left defensive end behind starter Cameron Jordan in 2022. In 2021, the veteran recorded 18 total tackles, four sacks and one forced fumble over eight games.
Coming over from Kansas City, Kpassagnon will help fill the void left behind by Trey Hendrickson. However, Marcus Davenport will assuredly get the first crack in the starting lineup opposite Cameron Jordan, so his playing time could depend on how quickly first-round pick Payton Turner will acclimate to the pro game.
