MyCole Pruitt

32-Year-Old Tight EndTE
Pittsburgh Steelers
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Pruitt has served mainly as a blocking tight end throughout his career and hasn't had more than 150 receiving yards in any of his nine professional seasons. He secured 25 of 33 targets for 260 yards and five touchdowns over his two seasons in Atlanta and will now attempt to carve out a role in Pittsburgh but could have trouble seeing much volume, as Pat Freiermuth commands most of the target share among the team's tight ends. TEPittsburgh Steelers
October 16, 2024
Pruitt (knee) was listed as a full participant on the Steelers' injury report Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Pruitt suffered a knee injury in Week 2 against the Broncos, which has kept him sidelined for the Steelers' last four games. The veteran tight end seems to be over the issue, as he was able to practice without limitations Wednesday. Barring any setbacks, Pruitt should return for Week 7 against the Jets and serve in a depth role at tight end behind Pat Freiermuth, Darnell Washington and Connor Heyward.

2015
Pruitt is entering his third season with the Titans, and his role on the team should be secure given the departure of Delanie Walker. In 2019, Pruitt played a key role in the team's offensive alignment, as he was on the field for 45 percent of snaps. His time on the field didn't translate to targets or receptions however, due to his primary role as an in-line blocker. That's unlikely to change in 2020, as Anthony Firkser is a superior pass-catcher and Jonnu Smith will almost certainly sit atop the depth chart at the position and will soak up many of the targets.
Pruitt joined the Titans early in the 2018 season after Delanie Walker suffered a season-ending ankle injury. He was among a rotation of tight ends afterward, and while his snap share ultimately rose to well over 50 percent in the team's final three games of the season, Pruitt never ran more seven routes in a single contest. While he has a strong chance to earn a roster spot, Pruitt isn't likely to record regular receptions as he will start the season behind both Delanie Walker and Jonnu Smith on the depth chart.
Pruitt was signed to the Texans' practice squad early in 2017 and appeared in one game before being placed on the disabled list with a calf injury. He reported to training camp healthy and is one of seven tight ends, most of which have very little experience.
Pruitt was able to start three games for the Vikings during his rookie campaign in 2015 while he made appearances in all 16 regular season contests. The 6-foot-2 tight end caught 10 balls for 89 yards in his first season, and he figures to improve on those numbers in 2016 as he becomes more comfortable with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and offensive coordinator Norv Turner's offense. Given Pruitt's upside and Kyle Rudolph's injury history, Pruitt could potentially be a valuable fantasy asset, but for now he's nothing more than a second option in the team's tight end corps.
Pruitt, a 2015 fifth-round draft pick, has 4.58 40-yard dash speed and excellent leaping ability for a 6-foot-2, 252-pound frame. Given Kyle Rudolph's persistent injury troubles, Pruitt could find his way to the field early in his career, though his upside would remain lower than Rudolph even if and injury allows him to see the field consistently.

August 8, 2022
Pruitt is expected to sign with the Falcons on Monday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 30-year-old tight end spent the last four years with the Titans but has never caught more than 14 passes in a season during his NFL career. That's not likely to change in Atlanta behind second-year phenom Kyle Pitts, but Pruitt will provide some depth both on offense and on special teams if he makes the 53-man roster.
