Patrick started 15 of 16 appearances with the Bears last year, and he signed a one-year deal with the Saints. The versatile veteran will fill in as a fringe starter or primary backup, likely at left guard or center, on New Orleans' offensive line.
After spending the first five years of his career with the Packers, Patrick signed as a free agent with the Bears in 2022. He was mostly a disappointment as the starting center, and he'll enter training camp as the backup to Cody Whitehair.
The Bears signed Patrick in free agency after he played five seasons with the Packers. He's an adequate pass blocker who's been inconsistent as a run blocker. He'll be counted on to be the starting center for an offensive line that desperately needs an upgrade from 2021.
