Justin Tucker

34-Year-Old KickerK
Baltimore Ravens
2024 Fantasy Outlook
At a position where fantasy consistency is rare, Tucker has finished ninth or better in scoring each of his 12 pro seasons, including first in 2022 and tied for third in 2023. He's the all-time leader for career FG percentage (90.2), holds the record for the longest successful kick (a 66-yard, walk-off winner) and has made 98.3 percent of PATs since the NFL moved the snap back to the 15-yard line in 2025. Tucker uncharacteristically converted just one of five attempts from 50-plus yards last year, but he otherwise missed only one FG and one PAT all year. And while the gap between Tucker and other top kickers has perhaps closed in recent years, he still offers an excellent combination of leg strength, accuracy and favorable team context. Tucker made all five of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 35-10 win over the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Tucker never got the chance to kick a field goal, but he converted when needed on PATs, as the Ravens scored five touchdowns in their easy victory over Buffalo. He's made all 13 of his extra-point tries this season, but field goals have been an issue with his 5-for-8 performance.

Tucker's PAT volume took a big hit last year with the Ravens struggling to score touchdowns, but he more than made up for it in the fantasy realm by leading the league in field-goal attempts (43), field-goals made (37) and attempts from 50-plus yards (14). He's still the all-time leader in career FG percentage (90.5), despite averaging 7.2 tries from 50-plus in his 11 NFL seasons, including from 60-plus a number of times (including two winners in Detroit the last three years). In other words, he's good enough to rank among the top two or three fantasy options at his position annually, even if the Baltimore offense isn't quite on par with Kansas City, Buffalo or the league's other heavyweights.
Last season saw Tucker attempt his most field goals (37) since 2018 while maintaining his pinpoint accuracy, missing just twice. Baltimore’s offense dropped off dramatically after two years near the top of the league, and so too did Tucker’s extra-point attempts (32). He'll likely trade some FGAs for PATs this year, but he always ends up top 10 one way or another — that's what happens when you're the best in the business.
The only thing working against Tucker is his team's penchant for going for it on fourth down, particularly in the red zone. That might be enough to resign a lesser kicker to fantasy irrelevance, but Tucker is the best to ever do it, converting 90.7 percent of field-goal attempts through nine seasons. While his production has shifted away from FGs and toward PATs the last couple years, Tucker still offers a rock-solid floor.
The all-time leader in FG percentage (90.8), Tucker has spent most of his career on defense-driven teams, but 2019 brought a different script with Baltimore leading the NFL in TDs (64) and fourth-down conversions (17). The aggressive approach limited him to a career-low 29 FGAs, while 57 PATs led the NFL. Even with analytics costing him some FG volume, Tucker's combo of skill and team context is unmatched.
Tucker is the rare kicker who warrants a draft pick regardless of team context. He's never been lower than 10th in fantasy scoring at his position, including top-5 finishes the last three years. Tucker holds the NFL record for career field-goal percentage (90.1) and has missed just one PAT - albeit a memorable one - in seven seasons. His leg strength creates field-goal attempts where other teams would punt.
Tucker is a true anomaly, particularly in the realm of fantasy football. Despite spending his entire career on teams with mediocre or subpar offenses, he's never finished worse than ninth at his position in fantasy points, thanks to career hit rates of 70.2 percent from 50-plus yards and 90.7 percent from 40-49. Tucker is the best kicker in NFL history, and the Ravens create turnovers to make up for their poor offense.
Tucker led the league in made field goals last year and was one of five qualified kickers to make every PAT attempt. Despite finishing 26th in extra-point attempts, Tucker was the second-highest scoring kicker, helped by his league-high 97.4 percent field-goal conversion rate. He was solid from distance too, as he was 24 of 24 from 40-plus yards, including 10 of 10 from 50-plus. The Ravens' offense isn't expected to make a leap this year, but Tucker's accuracy, especially from deep, should keep him as one of the highest scoring kickers.
The Ravens' offense has been up and down in recent years, but Tuckers fantasy production has been steady. He has ranked in the top-10 in kicker scoring in each of the last three seasons, while the team has ranked 25th, eighth and 25th in scoring over that span, respectively. Some kickers struggled with the new extended PAT distance, but Tucker hit every single one of his attempts (it's worth noting that his 29 kicks were fewer than all but three teams had). Tuckers only problem over the past two seasons is his accuracy from deep, as he's hit only 8 of 19 from at least 50 yards, but with just one miss from inside that distance in those years, he's certainly consistent enough to be a very solid option in most leagues.
Tucker hit more than 90 percent of his field-goal opportunities in his first two seasons, and while he fell to 85.3 percent last season, he was arguably better. His decline is attributed to going 4-of-9 from long distance. He didn't miss a single attempt inside 50 yards last season after missing two in each of his first two years. The Ravens' offense was up-and-down, which correlated with Tucker's usage, though it still finished eighth in points with Tucker finishing 10th in kicker scoring. The offense could look much different this season with Marc Trestman now calling plays. Under Trestman last year, the Bears attempted a league-low 16 field goals, partly because of a middling 47 red-zone trips and partly because once inside the red zone they were highly efficient, ranking third in touchdown percentage.
Tucker’s performance in Week 15 against the Lions on Monday Night Football may have been the pinnacle of kicker achievement, as the 24-year-old went 6-for-6 in the victory, capping the night with a go-ahead 61-yarder in the final minute.Tucker was no one-week wonder, though; he would conclude the season with a league-leading 38 field goals, greatly benefitting from a Ravens offense that often struggled to find the end zone once they reached opposing territory. With a 91.9 percent success rate from the field and a 10-for-11 mark from 50-plus yards over his two seasons, Tucker has already established himself as one of the best kickers in the NFL. That designation should elevate him above those of his peers who are supported by similarly average offenses like the Ravens.
Just one season after Ravens fans watched Billy Cundiff shank away the AFC Championship, Tucker, an undrafted rookie, brought uncanny poise to the kicking game for the Super Bowl champions. His crowning moment came in the wild double-overtime playoff game against the Broncos when he hit a game-winning 47-yarder to silence the raucous Denver crowd. Tucker delivered during the regular season, too, hitting 30-of-33 field goals, including a 4-for-4 mark from 50-plus. The Ravens offense should again provide ample kicking chances for Tucker, whose 132 points ranked eighth last year.

Gets vote of confidence
KBaltimore Ravens
September 24, 2024
Coach John Harbaugh is confident that Tucker will regain his accuracy, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Tucker has struggled from distance in recent seasons, converting only 10 of 21 attempts from 50 yards or longer since the start of the 2022 season. He also missed from 46 yards in a Week 3 win, and Harbaugh stated after the game that Tucker is dealing with a technique issue that is causing him to push the ball wide right. Given his track record as one of the most accurate kickers in league history, it's no surprise that the Ravens are remaining loyal to Tucker.
