2025 Fantasy Outlook
Daniels has solidified himself as a plus starter at guard throughout his seven seasons in the NFL, with his time in the league having been split between Chicago and Pittsburgh. An Achilles tear shortened his 2024 campaign, but the Dolphins will hope he's able to be ready for Week 1 and perform at something resembling his usual reliable level of play. If Daniels can beat the odds and show out as a plus starter immediately, despite his recovery from a serious injury, Miami's O-line will have a chance to notably surpass expectations. Coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Daniels (Achilles), who was a limited participant in mandatory minicamp and has not yet been cleared for training camp, is "very capable" of contributing at either left or right guard, Kaitlyn Pohly of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
McDaniel said "when you have a rookie in the mix, you have to settle that first," referring to 2025 second-rounder Jonah Savaiinaea, who played all along the Sun Devils' O-line but appears to be settling into a guard role with the Dolphins. Daniels is rehabbing from a torn Achilles suffered in Week 4 of 2024 while with the Steelers and said he expects to be ready for the start of the regular season, but he's only been cleared to handle individual drills so far. Despite the injury, the 27-year-old signed a three-year, $24 million contract with the Dolphins in March.

Daniels appeared in 15 of 17 games for the Steelers in 2023 and will serve as the team's starting right guard in 2024.
Daniels is the Steelers' starting right guard.
Daniels spent the first four seasons of his career in Chicago but is in line to serve as the Steelers' starting right tackle in 2022 after he signed a three-year contract with the team in March.
The Bears drafted Daniels in the second round of the 2018 draft, and he was a solid contributor to the line until suffering a chest injury in 2020 that caused him to miss the last three months of the season. He should move right back into the starting lineup this season, and continue as a strong contributor along the line.
