Johnson played five of the Bears' 53 snaps on offense and finished with a six-yard reception on his lone target in Sunday's 38-13 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Johnson's reception -- his first of the season -- came on the Bears' final drive of the game, when interim head coach Thomas had already subbed out most of Chicago's key players amid the blowout. The 27-year-old remains buried on the depth chart at receiver and will likely play most of his snaps on special teams while Chicago has DJ Moore, Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze available.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2021
2020
A 2020-fifth rounder, Johnson had an inconsistent role as a rookie for the Jaguars, but he showcased his potential during a two-game stretch in the second half of the season when he had eight receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown. He had minor production in his 12 other appearances, but that flash was a bright spot in an otherwise modest effort as a rookie. The Jaguars waived Johnson at the end of the 2021 preseason, but the Giants claimed him shortly thereafter and will give him a look on the practice field. Don't expect playing time or targets out of the gate this year.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could see lesser role
Johnson "could be on the outside looking in" in terms of wideout slotting following the Jaguars' signing of Marvin Jones, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With the additional of Jones, Johnson, who hauled in 18 of 31 targets for 272 yards and two touchdowns over 14 games as a rookie last season, now sits no higher than No. 4 on the Jaguars' depth chart. Additionally, the 2020 fifth-rounder could lose snaps this coming season to Phillip Dorsett and Jamal Agnew, a pair of speedy free-agent additions.
