2025 Fantasy Outlook
The Packers took Carlson in the sixth round of the 2023 draft and gave him a full year as their kicker, before moving on last summer when veteran Brandon McManus became available. Carlson then spent time with the Jets and 49ers, converting 13 of 15 field-goal attempts but just 12 of 15 PATs. The PATs were also an issue for Green Bay in 2023, when he missed five in the regular season and another in the playoffs. Carlson was with the Jets for their offseason program this year, but they released him in mid-June and signed Harrison Mevis instead, setting up a camp competition between Mevis and Caden Davis. Cut loose by Jets
The Jets are waiving Carlson, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
In related news, the team is signing Harrison Mevis as Carlson's replacement to compete with Caden Davis for the placekicker job. Carlson could get end up with another team this summer, but it isn't a great sign for his future that the Jets released him before training camp.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
The Packers took Daniel Carlon's younger brother in the sixth round last year and were pleased with the early results, but Anders hit a mid-season slump after making all his kicks Week 1-5, ultimately finishing with an 81.8 percent conversion rate on field goals and 87.2 percent on PATs. The rookie then missed an extra point in the first round of the playoffs and a 41-yard field goal in the second round, and the Packers subsequently signed kickers Greg Joseph and Jack Podlesny in the offseason. Whoever wins the job should have at least some degree of fantasy relevance, as Green Bay's offense was one of the best in the league during the second half of 2023 and is stocked with talented, young players.
