Each week, RotoWire provides picks and values for FantasyDraft lineups. Users have a salary cap of $100,000 to select a lineup comprised of one quarterback, two running backs, two receivers, one tight end, two flex spots and one defense. The scoring is standard point-per-reception.
To roster some top-tier players in tournaments, you need some lower-priced sleeper options with upside. That's what we aim to bring you in this column.
Here are our fantasy football value picks for Week 10 on FantasyDraft.
QUARTERBACK
Kirk Cousins, $10,200 vs. NO
Cousins seems to be everyone's favorite cheap quarterback this week, and for good reason. He hasn't been a great option for cash games this season, as he has had five games with 12 fantasy points or less. That being said, Cousins has a 34-point game and a 21-point game, and that's excellent value at his price. In Week 10, the Redskins' passing attack faces the Saints, who have given up the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season. New Orleans has allowed 24 touchdowns to just four interceptions and has given up 295 yards and multiple touchdowns in seven of nine games.
RUNNING BACK
Jonathan Stewart, $8,100 vs. TEN
Stewart continues to have a low price on FantasyDraft, considering his volume as the Panthers' feature on offense. Stewart had 20 carries or more in each of the last four games and scored three touchdowns over the same stretch. He'll line up against the Titans in Week 10, who have been very good in defending the run this season. That being said, with Stewart's volume and ability to score a touchdown or two, he makes for a top value play in tournaments. At his price, there's no one who sees the same volume.
Theo Riddick, $6,400 vs. GB
Riddick continues to be a value machine. Each and every week he's priced in the $6,000s on FantasyDraft, and he continues to be a PPR star. Riddick has at least 7.8 fantasy points in every game this season, which is one of the highest floors for any running back, let alone at his price. He has caught three or more passes in each game, and has seen his carries increase in the last three contests. Riddick will look to continue the trend against the Packers in Week 10. Green Bay has allowed 34 catches to opposing running backs for 248 yards this season, but only faced one real pass-catching back, and that was Danny Woodhead. In that game, Woodhead caught five passes for 63 yards. That would be 11.3 fantasy points, which is more than enough at Riddick's price.
WIDE RECEIVER
Brandon LaFell, $8,100 vs. NYG
LaFell has been a target monster since getting back on the field for the Patriots. In three games he has 11 catches, but he was targeted 24 times in those three games. Eight targets a game is the same rate as Eric Decker, Brandin Cooks and Randall Cobb, all of whom are mid- to top-tier receivers in DFS. With Tom Brady throwing the ball, expect more of LaFell's targets to result in catches, as his catch rate (under 50 percent) is among the lowest at his current number of targets, which is an anomaly waiting to even out. On Sunday, LaFell and the Patriots take on the Giants, who have given up the third-most catches to opposing receivers this season, including nine touchdown receptions.
Kamar Aiken, $9,000 vs. JAX
With Steve Smith (Achilles) out for the rest of the season, Aiken becomes the top target for Joe Flacco and the Ravens. Durning the game in which Smith sat, Aiken caught four passes for 78 yards against the Browns. In the Ravens' last game, where Smith got hurt, Aiken finished with six catches for 62 yards. He has a safe floor as the top receiver on his team, and he faces the Jaguars in Week 10. Jacksonville has given up two touchdowns to opposing receivers in each of the last three weeks. They have also allowed receivers to go for over 600 yards in this stretch as well. Aiken is worth playing in cash and GPP contests on FantasyDraft.
TIGHT END
Crockett Gillmore, BAL $5,400 vs. JAC
With FantasyDraft's new minimum pricing placing tight ends at below $6,000, Gillmore is worth a look as a cheap play in Week 10. Considering Steve Smith (achilles) is out, Gillmore is likely to see more targets for the Ravens. He's a red zone threat who faces the Jaguars, a team that has allowed 14 touchdowns through the air this season. Gillmore's salary relief provides value in of itself, but considering he has the ability to score a touchdown, he makes for a decent cheap play in GPP formats on FantasyDraft.
Austin Seferian-Jenkins, $5,400 vs. DAL
This could be the week that Seferian-Jenkins returns to the lineup. He has practiced for a week, but wasn't cleared for contact by the Bucs medical staff. Signs are indicating that he may in Week 10, which makes him an intriguing option at just $5,400 on FantasyDraft. That price is cheaper than any other skill position player, which makes your lineup much easier to construct if you have him in your lineups. ASJ has played in just over five quarters, where he has seven catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns. He was heavily targeted while healthy, and with Vincent Jackson (knee) likely to miss another game, there will be plenty of targets for the big tight end. In Week 10, the Bucs face the Cowboys, who have allowed at least four catches per game to opposing tight ends in five straight games.
DEFENSE
Eagles, $5,400 vs. MIA
Philadelphia's defense is one of the few in the NFL that has value nearly every week, simply because of their ability to force turnovers. The Eagles have 19 sacks, 12 interceptions, eight fumble recoveries and two touchdowns this season. Only three defenses have average more fantasy points per game, and the Eagles have scored double-digit fantasy points in four of eight games. They have also scored seven or more in six of eight games, making them a safe defense for cash games. They'll look to stifle Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins in Week 10. Tannehill has been sacked at least twice in every game and has thrown nine interceptions this season.
