Collision with Hulkenberg
Formula One
April 15, 2025
Lawson finished 16th in the Bahrain Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Sakhir Circuit on Sunday evening.
ANALYSIS
Lawson would struggle and fail to advance out of Q1 during qualifying which would lead to a P17 starting spot on the grid. The young Racing Bulls driver would be mired in a back-end battle the entire evening in Bahrain. A heated battle with Nico Hulkenberg would see Lawson make contact with the veteran driver to get past. That would allow him to race up to P13 by the checkered flag. However, the stewards would slap Lawson with a 10-second penalty for the avoidable contact and it would drop him to P16 after the checkered flag.
