Eventful Mexican GP
Formula One
October 31, 2024
Colapinto finished 12th in the Mexican Grand Prix F1 race at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Colapinto had a disappointing qualifying session, finishing around half of one second off the pace of Alex Albon. As is common for Williams, Colapinto ran a long first stint in an effort to pick up track position, a strategy that paid off and brought him up to 12th on the grid. He also picked up a 10-second penalty for a skirmish with Liam Lawson, though it did not affect his finishing position. Colapinto remains in the running for a full-time seat in 2025 as he impresses during his time at Williams.
