Payne signed a contract with Partizan through the end of the 2025-26 season, the team announced Tuesday via its official X account.
ANALYSIS
After spending 10 seasons in the NBA, Payne will head to Europe and link up with one of the two EuroLeague clubs in Serbia. The 32-year-old appeared in 72 games with the New York Knicks last season and averaged 6.9 points, 1.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 triples over 15 minutes per night, so he should fill a key role for his new club. He could do so as soon as Round 18, as per the report he will train with his new teammates Tuesday.
