Sylar played Troll Warlord in the first game of the series. He fared okay in the laning stage as his supports guaranteed him his free farm. But his odd decision to buy a Manta Style first for the hero worked partially as it allowed him to rack up nine kills. In Game 2, he decided to play Clinkz despite the recent nerfs to the hero. He again had a questionable item decision with Hand of Midas. It slowed down his chance to snowball and his team suffered for it.
