2024 Fantasy Outlook
Howard's stats climaxed in his 2023 season at Kansas State, tallying 2,643 passing yards, 351 rushing yards, and 33 total touchdowns with 10 interceptions. The super senior will now make his way to the Buckeyes, who enabled Kyle McCord to surpass 3,000 passing yards and log a 24:6 TD:INT ratio in his final year with the team. Though Howard will not have star wideout Marvin Harrison as an asset, he does join Ohio State with more experience as a starter and overall experience in spreading the love. Howard should be primed for another big season in his collegiate career as he joins wide receiver Emeka Egbuka and potential breakout freshman Jeremiah Smith, plus a pair of star running backs in TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins who can both contribute as receivers out of the backfield. Howard has all the skills necessary and as long as he makes it over the hump of acquainting with his new team, his output should only increase from his time as a Wildcat. Read Past Outlooks
Fairy-tale ending to college career
Howard completed 17 of 21 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns during Monday's 34-23 victory versus Notre Dame. He also had 16 rushes for 57 yards.
ANALYSIS
Howard began his collegiate career in 2020 as Kansas State's top quarterback. After a down 2021 season, which saw the QB drop to backup duties yet still use up his freshman year of collegiate eligibility, he improved significantly thereafter, culminating with a 2023 season that saw him log almost 3,000 all-purpose yards and a total of 33 touchdowns. Every college player being able to redshirt the COVID-19-affected 2020 season granted him an extra year of collegiate eligibility, which he used to enter the transfer portal and enroll at Ohio State for his 2024 season. Howard not only got this year's OSU team to the playoffs but also helped his Buckeyes excel throughout said occasion with a 75.2 completion percentage for 1,150 yards and an 8-2 TD-INT ratio. Howard's last performance saw him log multiple touchdowns without any interceptions, the only time he has done so this postseason, to cap off his college career with a national championship and MVP honors.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
The Wildcats averaged 38.8 points per game in Howard’s five starts last year which was a big reason they were able to capture the Big 12 title game. Kansas State returns eight offensive starters for a Chris Klieman squad which found their groove last year. While they did lose running back Deuce Vaughn to the NFL, they were able to add some depth with Florida State transfer Treshaun Ward to play alongside DJ Giddens in the backfield. Howard also has familiar targets in wide receiver Phillip Brooks and tight end Ben Sinnot. It’s a big positive that the coaching staff has full confidence in Howard as he goes in to his fourth year with the team. With one of the best offensive lines in the conference (all five starters returning), Kansas State should contend for a conference title once again.
