ANALYSIS
For a second straight week, McClain replaced Jaylen Raynor under center, taking over for the final drive of the first half after Raynor threw a second interception. McClain looked good in Week 3 against Michigan and outperformed Raynor on Saturday, accounting for Arkansas State's lone score. It wouldn't be surprising to see McClain draw the start coming out of the team's Week 5 bye, but the Red Wolves could try to stick it out with Raynor, who was outstanding as a freshman in 2023.
