2024 Receiving Projections
Out for New Mexico Bowl
Williams (undisclosed) is out for the 2024 New Mexico Bowl between TCU and Louisiana-Lafayette, Steven Johnson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Johnson has not stated any reason as to why Williams is out for the New Mexico Bowl, but that just means he can get a head start on his professional aspirations. The senior wideout's 2024 season is his best yet. Johnson logged 60 receptions for 611 yards and six touchdowns, all career highs. However, what separated the senior's 2024 season from years past is his external stats. Johnson also recorded 51 carries for 322 yards and six touchdowns, along with a passing TD in only three attempts. Perhaps his breakout 2024 will be enough to get him NFL consideration in 2025.
