Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2020
Michigan lacked a clear-cut No. 1 receiver last season after Bell, who was the team’s leading receiver with 74 receptions for 1,159 yards over the previous two seasons, suffered a torn ACL during the 2021 season-opener. Bell is on track with his offseason recovery, and he looks set to reprise this leading role in his fifth collegiate season as a result. The Wolverines’ offense struck an almost perfect balance between rushing versus passing attempts last season; likewise, the passing offense managed to find efficient success by spreading the ball around to wideout Cornelius Johnson, tight end Erick All and others. Even though former offensive coordinator Josh Gattis moved on in the offseason, there is no reason to believe that Michigan will not employ a similar approach in 2022. Nonetheless, Bell should see the lion’s share of these targets and finish the 2022 season as Michigan’s leading receiver once again.
