Won't return to Michigan in 2020
Head coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed Monday that Collins (personal) is no longer a part of the Michigan football program, Heather Dinich of ESPN.com reports. "Nico is not participating in football right now," Harbaugh said. "I don't have a crystal ball as to if his mind would change on that. I know he's not currently on the team."
ANALYSIS
Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reported back on Sept. 16 that Collins was opting out of the 2020 season and instead turning his focus to preparing for the 2021 NFL Draft, but the receiver has never issued official word on the matter. Harbaugh's comments Monday suggest that Collins will in fact forgo his remaining eligibility, leaving Michigan without its top two of its top three wideouts from 2019 after Donovan Peoples-Jones previously left school early for the 2020 NFL Draft.

2019 Fantasy Outlook
Collins' status warrants monitoring toward the summer and fall after sitting out the spring with an undisclosed surgery, but if healthy he looks like an imminent star. At a listed 6-foot-4, 218 pounds he carries a WR1 frame, and as a true sophomore last year he turned 54 targets into 38 receptions for 632 yards and six touchdowns. That includes nine catches for 171 yards and two touchdowns on 13 targets against Ohio State and Florida. If you can produce against them then you can produce against anybody. The run-heavy Michigan offense limits him otherwise, but at least Collins has a stable quarterback situation with Shea Patterson back
