                2025 Fantasy Outlook

Marchiol projects as the starter for the Mountaineers, although he will need to fend off Texas A&M transfer Jaylen Henderson. Head coach Rich Rodriguez makes his return to West Virginia and typically has a spread-option offense that is extremely fantasy-friendly. Both Marchiol's and Henderson's mobility and arm talent project well in this type of offense, which includes designed QB runs and RPOs. The Mountaineers will benefit from another season with RB Jahiem White; however, they will need to break in young receivers, as none of the top pass catchers from a year ago are back. West Virginia is truly a wildcard team for the conference this season. That's not quite as important in such a run-heavy offense, and Marchiol's involvement in the running game should make him a fantasy-worthy quarterback asset in 2025. Expected to medically redshirt
Marchiol (foot) is expected to medically redshirt, Pete Nakos of On3 reports.
				  ANALYSIS
One more game, and Marchiol uses a year of collegiate eligibility. But during Week 4, at Kansas, he suffered a foot injury. Due to it, many of West Virginia's 2025 games may not include Marchiol, whose medical redshirt would preserve two years of collegiate eligibility.
